@latein I like the idea of EV, it's just we don't have the enough technology right now for that.
- Lithium batteries in overall go to landfill after 5-7 years. EV batteries costs almost a new car.
- Lithium batteries suck with cold and hot weather. My electric longboard have reduced autonomy in winter and summer, like 1/4 less autonomy.
- EV and modern cars are privacy hell, Tesla cars are no exception.
- Graphene batteries and fuel cells are not ready for civilian use. Fuel cells are very promising for longevity.
- EV are weak to magnetic fields, anyone can eventually disable entirely your car, but modern cars are not much different.
- Lithium extraction and manufacturing makes almost same pollution of a modern oil car after 6-8 years.
