@nugger @Rayfield @Wisconsin_Kraut Yeah. The problem with guns is that you simply can’t make anything new that’s commercially viable unless it uses existing systems. Too many designs have utterly saturated it, so no matter what you come out with someone will look at it and say “huh? you want me to pay $120 per mag? hahah, glock mags are $13!”
So you’d have to go for mass-produced drums, which universally suck, without any way to change the plane (affordably). Sure, you could clean sheet a design, but nobody’s buying it because autists who love zakus aren’t the same target market who’ll drop $4,500 on a boutique weapon system
