Yeah I listen to true crime stuff nonstop and it's kind of maddening how all over the place police departments are. And it's ridiculous what they all agree on. I think the #1 bullshit thing I learned is there's no law anywhere saying you have to wait 2/3 days until you start searching for a missing person. That's just something cops do to save time and work because most likely the missing person isn't really missing. Except of course, that's obviously terrible, because if it's a real missing person case that means the first 48 hours passed and they are probably dead.
