In the Navy, we had 'tough' laptops to take to the aircraft that had our maintenance publications on. I had a flash drive with some C&C Renegade mod installed, and played that while we waited for the navigation databases to finish uploading.

lol, someone gifted me a toughbook during this period too. It had a 433 MHz uplink to talk to wireless handset stations with its modem.

I used to use WPA disconnects to the school wifi to sell other kids access to it by Whitelisting their MAC addresses.

I wasn't nearly as enterprising, but my friends and I set up a private server that had a cron job to wake up early Monday morning. Re-install all the games shortcuts to the student shared drive before going idle again.
They never found it, we made sure to retire the laptop tasked with this righteous job before it was ever located.

I knew what tor was while everyone was still using Ultrasurf to bypass the school firewalls, even up to boot a persistent image of backtrack off a USB drive on a school desktop.

My brother had a zune, I thought it was really cool.

You can... I watched all of it back when I was in skool. I had a zune player and an iPod and when books wouldn't sate my need to just tune out, MP4 players were clutch.

@tyler @madison @pyrate I grabbed the WiFi password to my school's network by extracting it from a student laptop that had booting from USB still enabled and then found a database of every student's password that same year
