my heart longs for a place that doesn't exist and probably never will: a free russia, free from corruption, war, and fascism. every day, i get to see how the society i once loved is corrupted and the country i once loved is raped. i have nothing in common with the people who remain of their own volition, who are complicit in furthering the destruction of their own motherland. i used to be angry and sad at the state of my own country, but now ive just moved on. there are people who will smugly wish me good riddance from the sidelines, and to them i wish only the interesting times they seem so determined to live in. i will make my own home far away from that clusterfuck. there is an alternative culture to one of endless war and suffering, and i fully intend to pursue it. im happy with the friends ive made and the culture i am a part of. and that's something no one can take away from me! :)
