     Yeah, honestly, I GET it but there's no shock left to be apportioned out to how genuinely, breathlessly stupid American conservatives are. This is just a thing we have to contend with now and, ideally, marginalize, every day of every week, world-without-end-amen. Because they're REALLY this bad and they REALLY supported a coup to end America as a constitutional republic and they do that because they are verifiably stupid, shit people working intrepidly to smash human freedom.

     I have been stupid in my life and, even when I got a bit smarter, lived amongst brilliant people relative to whom I was stupid, so being stupid is not intrinsically bad, it can be a base from which you work to be less stupid.

     It's when an actual movement of people comes along and says YOU MUST BE EXACTLY AS STUPID AND AWFUL AS WE ARE TO BE A PROPER PERSON AND ASSIMILATE INTO A GODLY UTOPIA OF GRINDING HOPE-STOMPING STUPID that you should do the work to make sure those people never ever have an iota of influence on anyone else's life.
