     There's server lists out there hosted by random Japanese people or foreigners with home servers posting their vpn ip for you to use (don't use the ones labeled as academic purposes only cause of higher ping)

     but back then it wasn't hard to circumvent and it wouldn't have been hard to make it much harder, it seemed like they relied on the language barrier more than anything
     
     not like their giant 64v64 gundam matches where no matter how good your VPN and opsec is they actively try to weed out gaijin and ding dong bannu them for daring to desecrate their games

     @Elliptica @rlier23 I’d say it’s more that people in power don’t like how artists and the like can remove themselves from the jewconomy and be able to make a living for themselves. 18+ stuff is an easy way to get money on commissions because it’s a vice of course, but they don’t like that little dudes are able to independently operate and have a bunch of money flow outside of Mindgeek and normal jew owned porn sites.
