     it is so completely insane to me that there are companies making like literal bionic/neural implants and yet they aren't required by law to release the source code and schematics for them. like disabled people are essentially being forced to choose between being blind/vision impaired or rent their fucking eyes from a company that can decide to arbitrarily stop supporting their implant or brick it remotely
