If benchmarks really don't matter then if you are forced to spend $2000, would you pick the GTX 1030 or the RTX 4090?
Benchmarks do matter and the shill consooooomer that says otherwise is cope.
Competition only exists if every company was is constantly improving their products, if only one made a product worth buying and everything else is subpar then that's the illusion of competition.
5-10% improvement compared to last year isn't innovating, gimmicks aren't innovating, removing features to resell isn't innovating, it's stagnation.

@soravu I fucking hate the current trend where all focus is on top of the line shit while the mid range is where there the most sales.
All focus is the top part and every product down the lineup is an afterthought or even intentionally gimped to get you to buy a higher tier.
