   Ugh, I though ascenders & descenders were the appropriate properties to look at to address my other text rendering issue...

   But that's global to the font, not per-glyph. So if I'm having issues between glyphs I have to look at other properties!

     And YESSS!!!

     I needed to incorporate the horiBearingX & horiBearingY properties of FT_Glyph_Metrics into positioning the glyphs for the baselines to line up!

     Glad the first thing I tried worked...

     I need to rename that branch...

     Hmmm, adding support for vertical text will require changes across the #ArgonautStack . That's something to figure out later!
     Typograffiti might also require fixes to support colourful emoji, call that low-priority.
