Do you think younger kids get amused when they see older technology like dial-up internet or PSTN public phone?

It wasn’t all that amusing when I was a kid, though. We didn’t get broadband until about 2004, so I was stuck with the 56k dialup Internet up until first grade. Even then, the Internet was still sooo slooow…I can’t believe how much patience I used to have.

There's no _nostalgia like_ desire to have or understand the quaint objects. There's more of an amusement in how different they look from what they use.
More of a "Things were weird when you were young" vibe than anything.

Randall Lee (bltpizza@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 14-Apr-2024 00:24:56 JST Randall Lee @nixCraft are there movies with dramatic moments where the hero is waiting for their dial up modem to connect to the Internet so they can stop the bad guys. That would be intense. HA! Other than that where would kids see a dial up modem?
