German police stormed a conference on Palestine in Berlin, disrupting and cancelling it shortly after it began.

This occurred hours after one of the main speakers, Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah, was detained at the airport and prevented from entering the country.

Hundreds of plain clothes police officers stormed the meeting, cutting the livestream video and the electricity.

Berlin police said they had dispatched "930 officers", to secure the event.
