   Todd starts the stories at vaults because it's too marketable not to. It's the same reason BoS still exists and had their moral alignment changed, and get more powerful by the iteration. It's why super mutants will remain. It's why dogmeat keeps coming back. It's why bottle caps returned as the default currency. It's why the art deco and streamline, which was previously kept under control, now overwhelms the entire aesthetic palette. It's why the modern weapons changed into junk weapons can be built and smashed together like trash MacGyver meets mad max.

     @MK2boogaloo I was gonna originally gonna segway into mocking the loud symmetry, on top of the marketable moments, but thought it would be too complicated to express. So here's the one liner: It's like poetry... It rhymes.
