@EMR @iswyrm if I remember correctly, all of the datelines actually create Alfred E Neuman’s face, or something like that. I think there might even be a video about it by Robin on YouTube from a few years ago.
@iswyrm @amigalove I can't find it scanned anywhere so you'd need to grab a hard copy, then either scan+OCR it or type it in yourself the old fashioned way.
The fact that it's in mad magazine makes me think it's just obfuscated code that prints 'always drink your Ovaltine.'
@amigalove 80s' Commodore magazine were full of these programs to digit hand made on the machine and then save somewhere else. But have you idea what this one does or is just a puzzle? Was common on 8bit use Basic to write Assembly programs, putting a read/write routine in the beginning and then put the real code in the Data commands as numbers.
@kwramm Same. And in the early first few weeks, my C64 didn’t even even have any kind of storage option.
it was type and don’t turn it off!
@amigalove these listibgs gave me PTSD. pages upon pages of data and a single typo
@Doppelganger75 :) I’ve got that covered beyond belief. I may, however, lack the will. ;)
@amigalove I still have my Commodore 64 if you want to give it another go!
