@mangeurdenuage If past rhetoric is to be considered, they'd prefer encryption they can backdoor for 'national security'. IIRC, iOS and Android encrypts storage by default using the screen PIN so imagine the far-reaching effects if they did pursue this.

@thatbrickster @mangeurdenuage what national security? Letting all the girls gets harassed by Arabs? This security?

@mangeurdenuage We're at a point where Labour want the 'legal but harmful' clause reinstated in the Online Safety Bill, effectively criminalising such speech (ergo making no sense). If that's what we've got to look forward to, may as well be racist. They can't arrest all of us.

@coolboymew @thatbrickster sush that's lacist to speak abrout !

@coolboymew The same national security that allows Afghan 'children' to wait around or enter schools claiming to be 14, only to solicit (or rape) underage girls for sex.
The same national security that allows Care4Calais to traffic these people in, the latest lot being Sikhs from India. Last I heard, India's not at war. But we'll keep them here until their claim (also filled in by Care4Calais) is processed three years down the road.
The same national security that makes Ukrainian refugees feel unsafe and flee the UK, because places like Birmingham have 'too many Muslims' or crime stats that would scare any foreigner into moving elsewhere.
Yeah, national security that sticks the boot on the native population but only so much that they don't notice it's not for their safety. 2024 will be a bleak year for politics when the General Election comes by.

I don't like the word specifically on its own but if I don't use it the censors win

Saying the N word is not about being racist, it's about sending a message.
