   So this is what Microsoft is up to now? Sad. It is a pathetic company. Maybe the EU and FTC need to look into this kind of stuff. Trust and Microsoft have no relationship. If you care about your privacy, never use anything built by MS. Use Firefox or other browsers.      @nixCraft but are they worse than google? Sure Firefox is the better option, but I would prefer edge over chrome every day of the week.

     @nixCraft The only real reason I use edge is because of the way it lets you handle progressive web apps compared to Firefox where, (as of the last time I checked) I would need to use a third party tool to do the same thing, and I have some things synced with a Microsoft account (The real reason)

     @nixCraft Oh I hated when Google did similar things back then if I am not mistaken. “Download Chrome” banner was appearing. (again if so am remembering correctly).

     @nixCraft The other day I searched for the best way to install Chromium on windows and found a Microsoft learning page about how great Edge is with all it's must have features..

     @nixCraft Why would the EU look at this ? They agreed browser choice with the EU in 2010, got fined for not doing stuff they promised in 2013, and have been rolling out full browser choice to EU citizens again after the EU passed the Digital Markets act (as have Apple despite all the games around web stores still going on).

     In Europe it's been fairly repeatedly done and dusted (although Edge on ChromeOS would be an epic troll by Microsoft if they wanted to have some fun)
