@eriner I disagree with you on this. Superficially rising co2 helps plants and farms but it goes along with massive reduction in biodiversity. Like if you replaced an old growth forest with a giant ocean algae bloom

I think there are too many confounding variables to claim that biodiversity reduction is a direct result of CO2 increases (and the combustion of fossil fuels).
Habitat destruction (and tangentially, the urban island effect) is more Occam's razor as far as I'm concerned.
