So I think the key underlying and unspoken topic of the conversation between Murphy and Gillespie is whether or not you like accelerationism and/or worry about the collateral damage caused my accelerationist shifts. Personally, I'm all for things being hard in order to get somewhere new and better just like how a bust is required to correct a boom. People are going to get hurt, but they are going to get hurt even worse if we don't let it happen. Even on the trans kids issue, it is a good thing that people en masse lose faith in public school.
