   I asked her to start tracking egg output to put that whole thing to the test since we got a new bag of food, and the output has been going up…..but we don’t know how many hens are laying. And they’re laying all over the place, since a lot of them still free range.

   So all I CAN say is that…..there’s more sun these days and the hens are laying more. Literally everything else is an unknown.

     “okay, when did you start feeding them the new stuff?”

     I would have thought it would be simple to at least get a headcount but we actually have some roost out pretty far, so I get it. Usually I’ll find eggs whenever I move stuff around, too. Something to consider for the free-rangers if you have more showy breeds. Fat broilers wouldn’t be as wild
