Miku Expo 2024 is looking like a disaster. 2020 was supposed to be the first big tour in North America but it was canceled due to COVID, now they’ve had their first show of the tour in Vancouver and not only was the set list bad (none of the classic miku songs everyone loves, they composed new English songs for the tour that are worse) but the most defining and important part of a Miku show, the holograms, are nowhere to be seen. You pay $100 to go see Miku on a tv. Which is double the ticket price in 2020, and a bit more than they cost in Japan (where again you get the actual hologram experience).
You may be wondering, who is it that’s running this shitshow? Who else but Crunchyroll.
