     @nixCraft Sorry. I do not agree. While I am sick of Windows, it's not that difficult to use. I'm a Mac guy, and the price-to-value proposition of entry-level Macs is much more affordable now. I'm also a Linux guy, and there are loads of distros now that just work out of the box, like Mint, Pop, and Fedora. Every OS has its quirks and foibles, but they are a lot closer in reliability than they used to be. Now, security is a different matter, and Windows, by far, sucks the worst.

     @nixCraft I sort-of-agree. To use Linux the way typical Windows users user Windows... no, you don't really need special skills. If you want to see the blonde, brunette, and red head... yeah... you'll need to develop some skills... but the same goes for Windows or Mac. The benefit of Linux is that the access to skills is open and free.

     @nixCraft no. For Linux you don't need a skills. More like it needs to be open minded.
     Most of people in my surrounding just don't accept that something they used to know works a bit different, and when they try linux, then they are getting angry. But the same happens with new version of windows and icons look different...

     @nixCraft as a long-suffering Windows user (don't hit), I'd say all that's missing from the Windows entry is "and a willingness to string the OS up in a root cellar and flog it until it complies" 😆

     not really, Android is another type Linux, it doesn't requirs people to have skill before using.

     @nixCraft As a current Linux user and former Windows user this is accurate and I have no patience for Windows but man do I have the skills I learned over the past 4 months for Linux to the point where I feel confident I can maintain my Hyprland with EndeavourOS install. Man I love my setup way more than Fedora with Gnome sorry Fedora and Gnome fans

     @nixCraft windows feels like a slot machine that never pays out but is always asking for more micro-transactions.

     My kid has had a desktop computer running linux since he was around five, and was using it just fine, so I think it probably just depends on the distro.
