     @MordredSimp @LoliHat @Paulajak Debatably, Palpatine was pushing bad ideas down from the top I won't deny but the pack of ruthlessly ambitious warlords that followed his death were certainly not a good thing to free from the Empire's structure.

     Based on the pre-Disney six movies, they were mostly just authoritarian and "against democracy". It was basically being generic bad guys for Luke to go on his Campbellian Hero'es Journey. Also, in cut footage from the original film, the Empire was nationalizing farms and industries.
     
     Based on the pre-Disney expanded universe material they were generally human supermacists and overall ruthless. Don't care about the Disney era B.S.
