I don't get fuzzy romantic feelings therefore randos should suffer and die painful deaths is a rational perspective upon which all civilization was built.
-
@doctorsex @nierenstein nietzche was an individualist of a sort, he saw the "last man" as a burden to the overman. Hitler, napoleon, show us the overman as conduit for the "last men" to achieve greatness (destroying Eastern European countryside).
-
@nierenstein @doctorsex no but it dovetails.
It's all one thing. The raison d'être of civilization is the stability of normal dudes.
A man like Alexander the Great will always be fine, but with no army he is nothing. He understood this on an internal natural level, often eating and living with his footmen, ie inferiors. Hitler and napoleon too were extremely concerned with their men, Hitler having been a grunt. Napoleon even rewarded his best surgeons. Without their legions of fanatics they would've been provincial footnotes.
Vitalists don't understand this, behind every great man there is a group of nameless goons, less notable, but fanatically driven to his cause. Jean, Fritz, and Metaxis Creto didn't kill for mo reason, they were cared for by their leaders. No man marches from Greece to Persia on abstract notions.
-
@nierenstein @doctorsex leftists hate this and attempt to destroy the bonds between men.
Leftist thought would rather see Alexander the Great as a nietzchian vitalist than as a leader of men pursuing true greatness without ideology.
Any nietzchian reading of the 3rd Reich is thusly flawed.
Alexander->Caesar->Charlemagne->Napoleon->Hitler
All one concept.

@mkultra @doctorsex Oh is this what the "the finest soldiers in history mostly looked like normal dudes who would today get 'mogged' on Twitter" posting was driving at
-
@doctorsex
The entire point of civilization is appeasing the people who could seriously pose a threat to it if they don't get fuzzy feelings.
-
@doctorsex ie getting normal dudes a family
-
It's also the same basis for the spiteful mutant communist
-
@doctorsex @nierenstein so what I'm driving at is that if the men who could be mobilized for greatness are dispossessed they should stop providing civilization until the platonic caesar comes to deliver them greatness (destroying poland).
