     @WashedOutGundamPilot We were lied to as a generation. In my early 30s, I chafed a little when boomers and gen Xers said "you're still young." You aren't. But you're told to constantly wait and work and hope for good things to come to you, for them to be given to you as a reward, until you're either too old, too entrenched, or otherwise incapable of achieving them for yourself.
     
     It's why I learned to strike when the opportunity presents itself when it comes to living life. If I'm getting bored, have a few days and some gas money, I'll pick a spot within a day's drive or so and tell my wife "we're going here." She loves it, even if it's just seeing a new part of the region.

     Listen I REALLY don't want to have to further elaborate, but what I am saying is that you are not stuck due to waiting for your grandpa to die. You are stuck due to your inaction and lack of self responsibility. You could decide to look at the situation like you're at the bottom of a pool of water and swamp thing is holding you down, how hard would you fight to get a breath of fresh air? For many of us that's how much energy we need to put in to transcend the limitations imposed upon our generation. But if you are waiting for an old man to die to finally make your next move, that's a mistake. Until you adopt a sense of personal responsibility--the attitude that it's not about what happens to you in life, it's what you do about it that produces the results you're getting--then receiving your grandpa's money will do NOTHING for you because once you get it, you're still going to be in this habit of waiting for someone else to come along and tell you your next move.
     That's why Christ is the "I AM" consciousness. The world is not happening to you and you are not a victim of circumstance, once you realize that it is coming FROM YOU and the other people, events and things that appear to be your circumstances are in fact a mirror of the inner you.

     Not true. You could decide to do something now about it, instead of relying on an outcome. If you become *too* dependent upon an outcome that could in fact be extremely disastrous.

Everyone will belittle the ‘babysitter’ in the family but they all crumble after a day of having to do it

It’s usually the screwup that ends up guilting them into an unfair portion of the pot because they “need it”. Kinda like the grasshopper in that fable. The ants never stick up for their own kind
