I mean, yeah, pretty much. I think I should have been more clear at the begining. It's a shit discussion because it's usually either "yes, games are absolutely art" versus "no, they cannot, and never will be" when I think what's more realistic is that games *can* be art but as a rule, they aren't. Movies *are* art, but you don't often see this being discussed in the context of cheesy summer blockbuster action films like, say, michael bay's transformers movies. In a similar, but almost inverted way, we wouldn't stop considering drawings or pictures art because dogshit corporate flat art exists.
