   What the bloody hell is with all the accounts that have only anime cartoons on it?
   
   I don't understand the fascination with these cartoons.

     But it's just the natural evolution of noseart: You have a mascot, a masthead for your ship that acts as idealized beauty and fortune. It demonstrates your taste to the world.

     There's also an embedded test, those who look at it and fail to understand the pics are NOT supposed to represent our self out themselves as being unable to model the minds of others - essentially a test for blackness.
