I have a bad feeling they will implement these...
Also we need a alternative frontend for Gitlab.
We already have one for Goyhub: https://codeberg.org/gothub/gothub
But one for Gitlab would be nice, yes.
But it doesn't help when a lot of people are still coping with "well at least it's not Goyhub", Gitlab being run by troons basically, and the fact that some of the condoms require JS as well (for example RedditSharp for REEEddit, but that one is hosted on Firebase, which effectively nullifies the whole point of protecting privacy anyway, or Piped for JewTube).
I'm in the process of trying to figure out how other people make it, because it seems like they aren't using APIs, and Pixiv requires an account in order to browse, which makes it even harder to make a condom for.
And so you want to bring such features in GIMP even though you know it’s bad? Personally I absolutely dislike these technologies of AI-made drawing.
Also, if it does get implemented, if it has to reach out over the network to query some remote server then the whole “feature” is fucked. Actually, another commenter brings this up:
Ah also, last (technical) point: the few plug-ins I checked were requiring logins to various proprietary online services. This is an absolute no-no. GIMP is not here to be a free advertisement entry-point for proprietary services. If we ever wanted to include such tool, models and engines would need to be embedded, though as I understand, it would make the install files extra heavy (I read some posts which were talking of models nearing the 4 or 5 GiB!) which is a huge problem.
I don't mind if they just release it as a plugin, because at least you can choose to have this functionality or not.
But I'd rather remain skeptical, it's not the first time when a FOSS project said "HELL NO!!", and later on implemented it anyway because the trannies were niggermailing them into doing so.
@ryo@udon i have a feeling something similar to what the guy asking for this request will be featured in photoshop at some point, and then the "niggermailing" (lol) will really begin until that scenario happens im assuming the guy asking for it is too stupid to use shortcuts and the stable diffusion plugin
