   @BenCollver @skyfaller @downey My stance: It is useful to take a hardline stance against driving to climate protests to avoid those protests getting too comfortable requiring cars.

   But at the same time I can imagine cases where driving a car to some climate action is the most beneficial thing to do for the environment! Though I would encourage car-sharing to minimize the harm.

     @alcinnz @BenCollver @downey I didn't take a hard line in the past because I trusted the organizers to send me where I needed to be to do the most good for the climate justice movement.

     I'm taking a hard line now because I've realized there are far more actions happening than I could possibly attend, even if I did nothing else. So my hard line is a way to pare down the possible actions to a more manageable quantity. (I'm also prioritizing local movements.)
