   depends on whether you're doing part 61 or 141 and what certs you're actually getting, as well as if you're doing a degree program or not
   
   if you're just going to a part 135 operation with the bare minimum PPL+IRA+CSEL it's not too bad but a lot of guys (myself included) will try to do PPL+IRA+CSEL+CMEL+CFI+CFII+MEI, instruct to 1000/1500 depending on RATP/ATP and then go to part 121 and that sucks ass hh

     best job I ever had (I'm halfway through my degree with PPL+IRA and 55K of debt)
     
     I'll be CSEL+CMEL+CFI by December at the latest and then CFII and MEI shortly after so life is tolerable hh
