After learning absolutely nothing by watching Sega bomb with the 32X and Sega-CD, Sony decides to attempt a pro-gamer move

@BigTLarrity mid-tier upgrades weren't that bad of an idea a few gens ago, or at least, they didn't seem like they were a bad idea
Now? The big issue is that we have a few gens of these "upgrades" basically amounting to almost nothing. The New 3DS barely got any exclusive games, for example
The devs knows, the customers knows all of this already
And from the opinion of people with a PS5, most feels like the performance issues in games currently aren't a big problem enough, it's mostly not a problem for non-AAA and they feel like the system haven't had its power used to the maximum yet... On top of AAA struggling badly lately, oof. Yeah, overall, everyone thinks it's pointless. The Switch? Would have needed it a few years ago. The current consoles? Pfft
On top of that Sony has fucking no exclusives. So if they even support the damn thing themselves, like pretty much only Nintendo supported the New 3DS, that will divide the already nonexistent platform exclusives, so the absolutely best you'll get is it being "cross normal PS5 and Pro" with better performance at best probably, bah

@BigTLarrity I can't wait for ps5 pro so more devs can make unoptimized games
Just imagine burning EVEN MORE wattage for 1080p 30fps on dragon dogma 2
-
@BigTLarrity 15fps on rendering individual high-def teeth on NPCs across the map that you will never even see!
-
@gentoobro @BigTLarrity That or like every other company: the people that knew how to make stuff, started everything, and were passionate/driven about the game have left and been replaced with Reddiet-tier faggots, HR-complaint women, and niggers?

@Marshall1Banana @BigTLarrity It's like they never heard of LoD scaling. The first game must have been a fluke.

@BigTLarrity
>4 years and one pro version into the generation

@coolboymew @BigTLarrity the ps5 should have enough power to do basically anything you want in a video game, it's entirely the fault of AAA developers and their retarded diversity hires that the games suck ass and lag. I know some dudes who work at Sone's US gaming branch and this has been pissing them off for awhile. They basically have to grant gold status to developers with exclusivity agreements or first-party IP status (spider-man etc.) and have no power to reject those games for performance failures.
This is not causing smaller developers any problems whatsoever. Nor competent developers. When was the last time someone complained about poor performance in armored core or disco elysium
