     I recently got TOR browser working on Debian using a script that
     downloads the tar,
     makes a folder
     ,extracts it

     Yet the default apt install method
     wanted a huge amount of junk , 99% of it being phython

     Also

     Just install the Tor daemon from your package manager, and set up a SOCKS5 proxy in any browser you want.
     Same as how you did with i2pd, but as a SOCKS5 proxy, and port number is 9050.
