@p @kirby @sysrq He still hasn't migrated poast.org off Njalla despite being very well aware of its owners political views and the nitter.net incident.

@munir @kirby @sysrq Domain registrar by proxy, known for hosting Pirate Bay for a while and not wanting to host any of the pesky nahseez.
-
@mint @kirby @sysrq Njalla? What's that?
-
@mint @kirby @sysrq ahhh well. whatever the creators views are it is irrelevant to me till i get the service i pay the company money for. for all i know the owners could cowtow to a statue and i wouldnt give a flying fuck. i think its important to have that kind of mindset on the internet nowadays since everyone thinks being political while providing a product is cool or something

@munir @kirby @sysrq Views are irrelevant until they become a part of ToS/AUP, written or not. The fact they are a proxy and not a proper accredited registrar also means they could simply hold your domain hostage without ever giving the transfer code.
-
@mint @kirby @sysrq yeah well then that changes everything.. i dont see the point in an anon domain registrar though, in the end you're still pointing it to a server that you own/operate remotely/locally.
-
@munir @kirby @sysrq More payment options, for one. Plus not having to bother with making up convincing domain owner info.

@mint @kirby @sysrq Well, I can understand (1) but (2) is pretty meh since most registrars have some kind of "protection" thingy for a dollar or two extra and I don't think most providers even check your address and shit, I just enter some variation of "Fuck You" and it lets me through.
