Even if Google managed to completely disable uBlock Origin, it would still be challenging to take down a DNS-based adblocker. Another use case for Firefox :)
@nixCraft Well, a DNS adblocker can apply to any browser (in fact, any device that can be configured to point to a DNS server at all.)
However, the problem with this particular use-case is the ads are coming from... Google. Their own servers. That is to say, you can't really block, for example, Youtube ads that way (at least I assume they host the ads on the same servers. Would be dumb to separate them... But then they've done dumb stuff before like starting this whole dumb war.)
@nixCraft I expect they will ultimately do with ads what they've already done with maps: Serve them from the top google.com domain. Few people want to block that.
