@1iceloops123 @thomasroiloup game journalism IS dead. Like literally nobody cares about them, nobody really read reviews anymore
The big offenders websites dying, nobody caring and the higher ups softly telling them to shut the fuck up is fantastic

@kumicota @1iceloops123 @thomasroiloup Don't know him but I don't consider youtubers to be classic game journos
Basically the bay area morons, too close to the subject they're writing about, failed actual journalists, etc.
But yes, Youtubers and let's plays and all that completely replaced them, mostly because a lot of written game reviews are generally so lazy they're practically useless while you can just quickly watch a YouTube video of it in action to quickly see what the game is actually like instead

I partially agree. For example bellular is can be considered a gaming journo and besides some videos(like the suicide squad one) he's very impartial on his reviews and videos
-
@coolboymew @1iceloops123 @thomasroiloup I know but I mentioned him because he runs and owns his own news site(that's not working) but it's bellular.games
-
@kumicota @1iceloops123 @thomasroiloup I don't consider indie websites big journos either
The reality is that there's a shitload of small gaming websites like this you can actually use instead of the big corps one full of bay area morons

I mean, I didn't said big journo but I do agree
