     Oh, it's an NEC D70236R. That's a V53, in NECs 80186 line.

     @foone this is the 2nd time I ever encounter NEC, and the first time their logo was on a composite monochrome display I almost bought the other day. Just what else did these guys make?? Are they still around?

     @theodote yeah they're still around. They're one of those ancient japanese companies that'd been around for over a hundred years.
