I dont know if they even taste all that different but they are more appetizing. I think we key our taste on visuals a lot. Not sure why anyone would rather carrots of uniform shape and color. -

I think the flavor difference is probably subtle but agree it is there. Hard to tell when you mix everything together but the resulting dishes are usually quite tasty.
