     Those who follow hypes and those who don’t.
     A lot of arguments are around that explains why AGI is a dream.
     We’ll see, if these arguments are valid when the cold fusion generator is working.

     @nixCraft When someone says X is just 5 or 10 years away (cure cancer, aids vaccine, etc) is basically saying I have no clue of how many years away. It could be one month away or never.

     during the gold rush in California thousands flocked to get rich, and for some it was life-changing. you know who profited the most though? the merchants selling mining tools.

     same thing happened with bitcoin too.

     and now it's happening again, but something is different.

     @nixCraft this is mostly about us being 5 years away from having hw and models with as many parameters as humans have connections in the brain's connectome, about 100 trillion. That doesn't mean we will have necessarily figured out the correct model so ppl really think agi is 5 yrs away at minimum. 5 yrs until we are hw capable.
