   Shame so many of the full versions of these awesome old programs are locked behind dead registration schemes, never to be opened or played fully again…

     Back in 2021 I actually tracked down the original developer of the game. I asked him if he could help me out, but unfortunately the game's full version is locked and lost to the sands of time. However, he did give ANYONE (with the will and the skills) to crack the game if they ever desired.

     @no_exit I am pretty sure I did. My version of NewtHack is 1.1 which includes a lot of improvements as well as a sound package. I've misplaced my stupid serial adapter, but will resync the Newton when I find it this weekend (hopefully...) and retry the code. I'm 99% certain I did try a 1.0 code with this and it failed, but am eager to retry. I wish my memory was better! Thanks for offering to help. I appreciate it.
