@Giga_Vril_Breaker If I'm being charitable and believing these people have agency I'd say they think that by aligning with the CIA/MI6 they can get things like weapons, training, experience, and political leverage to achieve their ultimate political goals of running their respective countries. Unfortunately I think they overestimate their value to their handlers and how disposable they actually are.
