   Oh, today is my 8th anniversary of working on Mastodon. I was 23 when I started, finishing my last year of university, still living at my parent's place. I had no idea what I was getting myself into or that it would consume the next 8 years of my life almost completely.

     @Gargron Congratulations! I donʼt think I realized I joined in year two. I saw merit in your work then, and still do seven years later. Iʼm glad I stuck around.
     I had been on Hubzilla before that, in 2016 IIRC, but you made this place so user-friendly. Thank you.

     Days, months, years later... It was hard but worth it.
