@DrRyanSkelton @ChristiJunior @TopBep The problem is how the word political gets used in this context. I think what most people mean is "this thing is attacking me". It wouldn't be so bad if everything wasn't so one sided, which makes it all the more obvious.

Are we supposed to actually hate different races as opposed to just recognizing that multiracial societies tend to be inherently unstable and cause a lot of problems that could otherwise be avoided? Different races and nations coming together to fend off a common threat is natural and normal.

@Elliptica @DrRyanSkelton @TopBep Leftists literally see reality/the natural order of things as "political", hence their Everything Is Political stance. Our side would consider something like Super Mario Bros. apolitical, while leftists consider it highly politically charged.
Of course, part of this is also just them being hypersensitive - a comparably thin-skinned attitude taken by /ourguys/ would involve loudly complaining about every single story that involves strong female fighters, or characters from different races and nations coming together to achieve a common goal (that first of which would render the Narnia books unacceptable, while the second would condemn Lord of the Rings).
My own take is that in fantasy settings, where the likes of superpowered bloodlines and magical enhancements are well established, there's nothing wrong with formidable female fighters, it's only in settings that are supposed to represent our own world and reality that it ought to be called out, hence why various non-superpowered Marvel Action Girls deserve to be mocked. And Mary Sue girls like Rey Palpatine are just terribly written characters, period.

Everything is political in a society characterized by tribal total warfare at the ballot box. The realm of the apolitical is a luxury for those who live in a culturally stable and unified society.
-
@ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @DrRyanSkelton @Elliptica @TopBep technically they are right that "everything is political" this is only a problem for them when their enemy acknowledges this fact and acts accordingly

@ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @DrRyanSkelton @Elliptica @TopBep People that come to this conclusion and put it to action tend to have very abbreviated life spans

@ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @DrRyanSkelton @Elliptica @TopBep I gotta ask: if every video game is political, is Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball right wing?

Absolutely. It promotes heteronormativity and appeals to heterosexual males.

@ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @DrRyanSkelton @Elliptica @TopBep It's no wonder that I have never seen a spiritual successor to that game, even though it badly deserves one.
