@mischievoustomato because if they aren't closed off and people actually got a glimpse of what they really think and why they made these decisions, everyone would see they are completely fucking insane and evil, and communities would gather together to purge them out.

If they just keep hiding behind this "marginalized folks" and "emotional labor" bullshit, they can still pretend they are doing things for the good of the community.
