@mntmn@mattontech@josch 4+ hours is actually quite good considering the hardware—if they were designing their own silicon (like Apple) or used mobile-specific chips (like most laptop manufacturers), that'd be middle of the road.
For the performance it's 'not great, not terrible' but if you compare it to a modern MacBook or Dell/HP/whatever, it's going to lose there (but that's not what it's meant to compete with, at least IMO).
@geerlingguy@mntmn@josch i don't think 2.5 to even 5 hours is "middle of the road" for a modern laptop that's also not offering a lot of performance. it's just bad. it's something that obviously would need to change for any hope to reach a wider audience
