>"I was flying along and I sawr this american in his mustang, smoking a cigar.....and I knew that wasn't allowed, you weren't supposed to do that!"
>"And he seems to want to form up with me and fly along home, and I just thought I don't want to be so close to him, he could explode, you see! That cigar smoking wasn't allowed in the RAF but the yanks were always a little rebellious...."
They've always been like that. Amazin'. The most fundamental british instinct, before breathing, eating, or sleeping is filtering all actions through a lens of "*is this **allowed?***".-

I like those little national idiosyncracies, I wouldn't want all the world to be american.
I just have my own inborn trait of hating that aspect of the British bloodline, a relic of our shared history before we diverged
