I recently came across an old newspaper scan from 1939 with an article about German pilots arriving in Australia, flying the swastika into the country for the first time ever.
I have a normie friend who is really into WW1 and WW2 history, and when I showed him the paper because I thought he'd get a kick out of it, his eyes nearly fucking bulged out of his skull and he asked me if it was real. He was so shocked at how the newspaper, even a matter of months prior to the beginning of the war, was proudly boasting the arrival of the Germans.
I don't know if it's going to move the needle for him at all, but it really impressed upon me just how tainted the narrative is. Even someone who studies the war's history as a hobby seems to have only ever absorbed information from poisoned secondary sources.
