if we never had JavaScript, we never would have had Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter, so the general state of the world and that whole rise of overt fascism thing is honestly kind of JavaScript’s fault when you really think about it

it only was in the first place to feed the ego of the guy who claims credit for inventing it and it continues to be because it enables mass surveillance on which corporations profit

which if I am not mistaken, Flash actually did not run in the browser without user notification or permission and if so, this would have been preferable
