     @icedquinn @critical 1. goblins. they are greedy subhumans with a long nose and various stereotypically jewish mannerisms. oops. also the game is set during a goblin slave rebellion, and the date and historical context given in the game is kind of very similar to some anti-jewish pogroms irl
     2. this is understating it, jkr is being very transphobic in general, overtly in fact, is a strong supporter of various transphobic organizations, and she's like one of the main origins of the recent UK TERF wave

     @critical nah the gnomes are basically the greedy merchant stereotype she just characterized them as a fantasy race so they could be hated on while being disconnected from the race. It used to be a common fantasy (and star trek) trick.
     
     Rowling once said a trans girl can't into pregnancy or something and this caused their eternal anger.
