This document provides definitions for privacy and related concepts that are applicable worldwide as well as a set of privacy principles that should guide the development of the web as a trustworthy platform.   @aral not just there. I’ve been in ISO standardization committees that were rendered pointless because of company interference. They don’t want to implement anything they don’t already do, which in this case wasn’t a lot, and would only agree on the lowest common denominator. I got out as quick as I could.
