     @Shadowbroker2135 The work rules alone make it helpful. In ours we have all that stuff legally mandated anyways, so the unions just negotiate contracts and usually act as a moocher to hand off the process to ALPA faggots anyways. I'm just getting a seat to all the diff. 121 groups out there since we sometimes hire the airline guys when they're bored. Pretty much all their union rep stories center around old guys simping for problematic, incompetent women and punishing everyone who slights them

     @WashedOutGundamPilot UAW is constantly wringing their hands about factories moving to Mexico. So there's been a slow slide in giving up benefits. Boomers here tell me yearly bonuses used to be 9k dollars in the 90s. Now, it's 500 dollars. New hires only make a few dollars more than McDonald's employees. The main benefit for me is not being fired for petty shit. One non union place I worked a supervisor followed me into the bathroom to make sure I wasn't going in there to text.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @Shadowbroker2135 engineering unions are brutal too, listened to plenty of stories from senior and contact engineers that union guys fuck with non union all the time.
     
     my mentor said, if he had employees unionize, he'd shut down immediately and start again.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Jack McCracken's book Living the Dream has a good section about how dysfunctional the prison guard union is. Unions across the board are staffed by college educated system shills. They have no real stake in keeping jobs and wages up.
