Ancient germanics and Nordics didn't look at Thor and go, "ah, the NORSE god of thunder, far superior to ZEUS, the GREEK god of thunder!" The gods of these pagan religions were just as universal to their believers as Allah is to a Muslim or as Christ is for a Christian.
